ENERGY CONSERVATION

SCIENTRICITY: Energizing Science Clubbers for Sustainable Energy

According to my research or in the internet: Energy conservation refers to efforts made to reduce energy consumption.
What is energy conservation?
Everyone seems to be talking about energy conservation. But what do we mean by energy conservation? Energy conservation means making an effort to reduce the consumption of natural energy sources like electricity, water and so on.
Why is energy conservation important?
We depend on energy for almost everything in our lives. We wish to make our lives comfortable, productive and enjoyable. Hence even if the outside temperature rises a little, we immediately switch on the air conditioner to keep our house cool. This is again using up of energy. Unfortunately, what we do not realize is that we have starting taking things for granted and we have started wasting energy unnecessarily. Most of us forget that energy is available in abundance but it is limited and hence to maintain the quality of life, it is important that we use our energy resources wisely.
If we do not conserve energy, the energy will exhaust and we will have nothing to use. Also, energy conservation is also important when it comes to climate change. Currently, erratic climates and climatic changes are the greatest threats that we are facing today. Hence it is important to conserve energy.
Ways to conserve energy
There are many ways to conserve energy. It depends on the kind of choices we make to help us save our environment and also help our future generations. There are many things that will use less energy and by using such things you will conserve energy in a sensible way. Instead of normal tube lights, you can choose energy efficient bulbs. Energy efficient bulbs require less energy to perform the same function that normal tube lights do.
Turning off all electronic devices when not in use is also a good way of conserving energy. Replacing or repairing leaky faucets help in saving lot of water. Use air conditioner only when required. Instead, you can keep the doors and vents closed to keep your room. Also, you can save lot of energy by switching off the lights and using natural lighting during day time. Embracing an energy efficient lifestyle today will help you get a better life tomorrow. So let us slow down the demand for energy and give a better future for our coming generation.

MY TEACHER, MY HERO!

According to my research: Teachers teach children to read, write, do math, and much more. They use games, videos, computers, and other tools to teach children different subjects. Teachers show students skills. They also explain information. Teachers plan their lessons before they teach which can take a lot of time. Teachers try to make their lessons easy to understand. They teach things in different ways so that different students can learn in the way that is easiest for them. Teachers might use a chalkboard, a projector, or a computer. They make posters or worksheets before class starts. Teachers plan the schedule for the day. Most teachers have to teach what the principal tells them.
Teachers also assign homework and class projects. They often have students work together to do projects. When students are not doing as well as they should, teachers help them. After class, teachers grade papers and projects. They also create tests. They write students' report cards. And they meet with parents to try to help their children do better in school. Teachers sometimes go to workshops to learn how to teach better. Some teachers also help with sports or other after-school activities.
Most kindergarten and elementary school teachers teach several subjects to one class. In some schools, two or more teachers work as a team. Other teachers teach one special subject, such as art, music, reading, or gym. Most middle school and high school teachers focus on one subject. They might teach English, science, or history, for example. Some teach students how to do a job. High school teachers spend more time explaining a subject and less time with activities like games.
Teachers work with students of many different cultures. Some students were born in the United States, and some were not. Teachers learn about different cultures so that they can be more helpful to students.  Teachers like to see children learn. But sometimes teaching lots of students can be stressful. Teachers also have to deal with children who misbehave.
Many teachers work more than 40 hours a week. While most go on vacation during the summer, some choose to teach in summer school. Some take another job. Some go to college to learn more about teaching.
They are the heroes of our generation! So let us thank them for all their sacrifices.

MODERN DAY HERO

A Hero. . . according to my research, a hero is someone who commits an act of remarkable bravery or who has shown an admirable quality such as a great courage or strength of character. For me, a Hero is someone that helps you, do good things, had  a courage and bravery and most especially a Hero that sacrifices everything just for the sake of other people.
When I open my eyes and wake up every morning, I'm always thankful for God gave me another day to celebrate and to encounter many people who will become my Modern Day Hero. those people will make my day whole extraordinary and wonderful.
As I took every step gong to school, I always encounter and see many faces, old and new faces. It's ordinary because I considered it as my daily routine. A tricycle driver is the first whom I considered as my Modern Day Hero. Second is my family, because as I go home, their faces are the ones that I see waiting for me.
These are my Modern Day Hero.

Tatag ng Wikang Filipino, Lakas ng Pagka-Pilipino

"Tatag ng Wikang Filipino, Lakas ng Pagka-Pilipino." This is the theme of the Filipino Month Celebration here in ISNHS.
In our everyday life, we are used to say many languages in our school, house, community and in our country. But for me, being one of the Filipino youth, I can say that I'm really proud to have our National Language and that is Filipino. This is the key to communicate to others and the sword and shield to fight in every corners of our lives.
This language is the ladder to express our thoughts and emotions that spreads peacefulness and orderliness in our country to reach our goals. If we travel around our country, we must use our National Language so that we can understand each other especially when we encounter other Filipinos.
In some parts of the world, there is a big percentage of the Filipinos are  working and are carrying our National Language so we must be proud of ourselves.
Let us treasure Filipino Language, we must remember and don't forget it.
